Maximum Wholesale Price set for vegetables

COLOMBO (News1st): A maximum wholesale price was fixed for vegetables with effect from midnight yesterday (March 26). The Consumer Affairs Authority said only 40 rupees can be added to the wholesale price of 1 kilogram of vegetables when selling in the retail market. Meanwhile, the President's Media Division (PMD) said all vessels entering the country via ports will be exempted from delay charges and access tariffs. The PMD noted that more relief will be provided to ensure continuous port operations.
