COLOMBO (News1st): Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe said the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 91.
The Epidemiology unit of the Ministry of Health said that 222 suspected COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment at several hospitals in the country.
Director General of Health Services, Dr. Anil Jasinghe said two COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Infectious Disease Hospital in Angoda.
Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who heads the The National Operation Center for Prevention of COVID -19, said over 3,500 people including 31 foreign nationals from 14 countries, are quarantined at 45 island-wide Quarantine Centers.
Speaking to News 1st, Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Changa Kurukularatne emphasized the significance of mental health when undergoing self-quarantine and instructed the general public to act with responsibility.
