Island-wide curfew will be in effect from 06:00 PM today

An Islandwide curfew has been declared from 6 pm 20 March till 6 am 23 March. Issuing a press release, the President's Media Division informed the public a curfew has been declared from 6 pm today (20 March) till 6 am on Monday (23 March). Meanwhile police curfew imposed for Chilaw, Puttlam, Negombo, Wattala and Ja-Ela has been temporarily lifted at 9:00AM today (20) and will be re-imposed at 12 noon (20) until further notice, according to the Police Media Division.   Developing story.
