Independence Day celebrations of Bangladesh in SL postponed

COLOMBO (News1st): The National and Independence Day Reception of Bangladesh which was to be held in Colombo on March 26 has been postponed due to the current situation of the country, The High Commission of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka said on Thursday. Riaz Hamidullah, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Sri Lanka said the High Commission of Bangladesh extends solidarity to the citizens and the Government of Sri Lanka in the present circumstances and the event has been postponed due to the current emerging public health concerns in Sri Lanka. The ceremony was scheduled to be held on the 26th March 2020 at the Galle Face Hotel.
