MRP for Broiler Chicken from tonight

Colombo (News 1st) - The Consumer Affairs Authority imposed a Maximum Retail Price for chicken with effect from midnight tonight.
Accordingly, the MRP for a Kilogram of Broiler Chicken with Skin will be fixed at Rs. 450/- and the MRP for a Kilogram of Broiler Chicken without skin will be fixed at Rs. 530/-.
The CAA said this step was taken as reports suggested traders were hiking prices in the domestic market.
