Two women reported dead in fatal motor accident

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Two women have reportedly died in a motor accident that occurred along the Udabaddwa road in Marawila. The police said a motorbike that collided on to another motorbike travelling in the opposite direction had then knocked on a lorry. Two women who were travelling on the motorbike had sustained severe injuries in the accident and succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the Marawila hospital for treatment. The deceased who are mother and daughter aged 54 and 21 are residents of Meegahapalassa. The rider of the motorbike who had caused the accident had fled the accident. Police investigations have commenced to arrest the individual. Meanwhile, the driver of the lorry was arrested over the incident.
