COLOMBO (News 1st):- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board states that water supply to the Gampaha, Kalutara, and Monaragala districts have been affected due to the prevailing dry weather. Superintendent of the NWSDB, R. H. Ruwanis says that these area residents are currently being supplied water through water bowsers. He also urges the public to use water sparingly.
He further says that if the dry weather prevails that water supply to other areas like Badulla, Mahiyanganaya, Kurunegala and many other areas will be affected. The NWSDB further requests the general public to notify the number 1939 if there is any information regarding an area facing difficulties due to water shortages.
