Sajith's new party will not operate through Sirikotha

Colombo (News 1st) - Leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Sajith Premadasa noted that operations of the new party will not be carried out from Sirikotha. Attending a media briefing Premadasa noted that the office of the new alliance would be declared open on Monday (March 9), at 8.30am. When questioned about the role Sirikotha would play in the party, Premadasa explained that activities of the new party would not be carried out through Sirikotha. Journalists also questioned whether the SJB is prepared to hold talks with the new party launched by former Min. Kumara Welgama. Premadasa answered the question in a coy manner and neither accepted nor denied the possibility.
