Colombo (News 1st) – The trade union action launched by the Sri Lanka State Audit Service, citing a number of demands, entered it’s second day today.
Secretary of the Sri Lanka State Audit Service, H. M. K. Herath speaking to News1st noted that members of their trade union withdrew from officials activities with effect from last afternoon.
When inquired, Auditor General W.P.C. Wickramaratne noted that relevant steps are being taken to resolve the issued faced by the employees, following discussions with the Presidential Secretary. He added that the trade unions engaging in the strike have also been informed of this.
