Imprisoned drug dealer involved in Galle drug haul

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The drug haul that was seized at the Galle coastline is said to be masterminded by a drug ring led by a drug dealer who is currently imprisoned. An officer of the Police Narcotics Bureau stated that he is also supported by an individual residing in Dubai. The officer states that assistance to arrest the suspect in Dubai will be obtained by the International Intelligence Forces. The haul of heroin and Crystal Meth that were seized yesterday (February 29) is worth nearly Rs. 1.18 billion. Seven people including a married couple have been arrested over the incident so far. They have been identified as residents of Pilyandala, Nakulugama, Tangalle, and Dikwella. The suspects are currently being interrogated under detention orders issued by the court.
