Sri Lankans in Italy free of Coronavirus so far : Consulate General of SL in Milan

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The blood samples of the two individuals who had arrived in the country from Italy and hospitalized under the suspicion of being infected with Coronavirus have been sent over to the Medical Research Institute for further inspection.

The two were admitted to the Sri Jayawardenhapura and Ragama hospitals over a number of symptoms including the common cold.

The Epidemiology division of the Health Ministry stated that they were thereafter sent over to the Angoda Infectious Disease Institute. Along with these two individuals, the total number of patients treated under suspicion of Corona is 4.

Meanwhile, the acting Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan, Prabhashini Ponnamperuma states that there are no reports of any Sri Lankans infected with the Coronavirus in Italy so far.
