Fire in Pelmadulla reserve doused by area residents

Colombo (News 1st) - A fire that erupted in the Poronuwa reserve in Pelmadulla has been doused with the support of area residents and wildlife officials. According to the Pelmadulla Divisional Secretary, the fire has destroyed around 5 acres of land. Firefighting efforts had been hampered due to the location of the fire on a mountain slope.
