Government Spokesman State Minister Keheliya Rambukwella on Thursday said that the government will not sign the MCC agreement at any circumstance.
“No, will not sign,” The State Minister of Investment Promotions Rambukwella, responding to questions raised by News 1st said.
The MCC agreement, if signed, would see USD 480 million being granted to Sri Lanka for the improvement of land management, and modernizing the transport system in the country.
The current government, during the run-up to last year’s presidential election, expressed strong objection towards the MCC pact.
