Galle looses a seat according to 2019 electoral list

Colombo (News 1st) - The number of eligible voters in the country has increased by 271,789. The National Elections Commission says based on the 2019 voters list, the number of eligible voters in Sri Lanka stands at 16,263,885 (Sixteen Million, Two Hundred and Sixty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty-Five). The majority of voters in Sri Lanka is from the Gampaha district, with a total of over 1.7 million voters. The least number of voters is from the Vanni electoral division, which has about 287,024 voters. According to the 2019, voters' list, the number of seats in the Galle district, has reduced to 9 from 10 previously. The number of seats in the Badulla district has increased from 8 to 9.
