President appoints task force to expedite CID investigations into 4/21 attack

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Defence Ministry has appointed a task force to expedite CID investigations into the April 21st attack. The appointment has been made as per the advice of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. The task force headed by National Intelligence Chief Major General Jagath Alwis comprises of six other members. It includes senior intelligence officers. The task force is due to provide a weekly report to the Secretary of Defence Retired Major General Kamal Gunarathne on the progress of investigations.
