Maximum retail price of Rs. 190 on imported big onions

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A maximum retail price has been imposed on imported big onions with effect from tomorrow (February 23).
The Consumer Affairs Authority states that thereby a kilogram of imported onion will be sold at a maximum retail price of Rs. 190.
The CAA says that the decision to impose a maximum retail price was taken since the prices of imported onions continued to increase in the recent past.
