JMSDF Takanami arrives at the Colombo Port

Colombo (News 1st) -  The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Takanami-class destroyer Takanami (DD-110) arrived in the Colombo Port today. It received a traditional naval welcome in Colombo by the Sri Lanka Navy. Commander Ryouichi Nihara of the Takanami met with Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe, the Commander Eastern Naval Area, today in a bid to increase cooperation between the Sri Lankan and Japanese Navy. The vessel will remain in Colombo till Sunday (Feb 23).
