Con-man arrested over foreign employment scam

Colombo (News 1st) - An individual who defrauded money claiming that he was able to provide job placements in Cyprus has been arrested by the police in Deniyaya. According to the Police, the suspect in question had defrauded Rs 80,000 from each person who fell for the scam. The arrest was made after 18 complaints were lodged with the Police, regarding the suspect. The 45-year-old suspect is due to be produced before the Morawaka magistrate's court.
