Colombo (News 1st) – The Chinese National who was diagnosed with Corona Virus in Sri Lanka and subsequently made a full recovery from the infection, is due to be discharged from the IDH according to officials at the Ministry of Health.

Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera noted that the patient will travel directly from the IDH to the Katunayake Airport where she will board a flight to China. Dr. Samaraweera noted that extensive tests were carried out on the patient to ensure that she was no longer infected with the Coronavirus.

The patient, a 43-year-old resident of the Hubei province in China was hospitalized in Sri Lanka on the 26th of last month after she displayed symptoms of the Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Dr. Samaraweera added that there are two patients at the Karapitiya and Kandy hospitals who are being examined for Coronavirus.
