Balapitiya shooting victim dies in hospital

Colombo (News 1st) - An individual who suffered serious injuries in a shooting in Weliwathugoda, Balapitiya has passed away. According to the Police, the 36-year-old victim passed away at around 3.20 am while receiving treatment at the Balapitiya hospital. The victim was shot at his residence on Monday (Feb 17) by gunmen who had arrived on a motorbike. Investigations are continuing to apprehend the assailants.
