Man arrested for obstructing police officer's duty

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A suspect has been arrested for obstructing the duty of a police officer who was on traffic duty near the Bentota bridge. The police said that the arrested suspect who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol had threatened the police officer on duty. The suspect's motor vehicle was also seized by the police. The arrested suspect has been identified as a 31-year-old resident of Welipanna, Aluthgama.
