One person linked to Jampettah St. shooting, arrested

Colombo (News 1st) -  One person has been arrested in connection to the shooting that took place down Jampettah street on the 8th of October 2019. The shooting, which claimed a life, was carried out by two assailants who had arrived on a motorbike. Investigations conducted by the Colombo Crimes division lead to the arrest of the suspect in question. A locally manufactured firearm, two 9mm live rounds and a mobile phone that was in the suspect's possession were also taken into Police custody. The arrest took place in Peliyagoda, the suspect has been identified as a 31-year-old from Hettipola, Kurunegala.
