SLPP to field grassroot level intellectuals at the General election

Colombo (News 1st): UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa states that the SLPP would provide nominations to intellectuals for the upcoming general elections. He stated that a committee comprising of Basil Rajapaksa and party seniors would decide who receives nominations and who is fit to lead the country. He added that the intellectuals who will be given nominations need to understand the pulse of the people and need to be recognized by the grassroots. The MP also stated that there is no point in discussing about nominations being granted to intellectuals who have no connections to the grassroots level.
