Colombo (News 1st) - The Supreme Court today granted permission to name Former President Maithripala Sirisena as a respondent in the Fundamental Rights Application filed by IGP Pujith Jayasundara, who was sent on compulsory leave following the April terror attacks.
The application was called up in the presence of Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya and Justices S.Thurairajah and Gamini Amarasekera.
The consideration of the FR Applications was postponed to the 26th of May by the Supreme Court.
Pujith Jayasundara filed the FR Application against the decision taken to send him on compulsory leave.
