3 dead after falling into an abandoned mine

Colombo (News 1st) - 3 people died after falling into an abandoned mine in the Maligawa Mawatha in Awisawella. According to the Police, the incident occurred at around 7.30pm on Sunday (Feb 2) when the victims had entered the property to save two chickens that had fallen into the mine. The victims were admitted to the hospital but passed away shortly afterward. The victims have been identified as residents of Awisawella aged 17,25 and 27 years.
