Man arrested for raping Swedish national at Pothuvil holiday inn

COLOMBO (News 1st):- An 18-year-old individual who allegedly raped a Swedish national at a holiday inn in Ulla Pothuvil, Pothuvil has been arrested. The police said that the suspect who arrived at the inn last night (February 02), while her partner had left the premises, had threatened her with a knife and raped her. The arrest was made after the partner of the Swedish national lodged a complaint at the Pothuvil police. The arrested suspect has been identified as a resident of Pothuvil. The raped Swedish national is currently receiving treatment at the Pothuvil hospital.
