Suspect remanded for VIP murder plot threatened by Kanjipani Imran

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A suspect identified as Udeshika Viduranga, who was remanded in connection with a VIP murder plot was threatened at the Colombo Magistrate's Court by another suspect called Kanjipani Imran at the Colombo Magistrate's Court. Lawyers appearing for Udeshika Viduranga reported this matter to the Colombo Magistrate's Court through Udeshika Viduranga's attorney. Accordingly, the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne ordered the Commissioner General of Prisons to provide special security to the suspect after the court was informed of a plan to murder him at the Colombo Remand Prison. The suspect has been transferred from the Colombo Remand Prison to the Matara Prison.
