COLOMBO (News 1st):- A fire was reported in a lorry that was parked in the Trincomalee-Kandy road at around 3.20 am today (February 01).

Upon inspecting the lorry, the police had retrieved the burnt corpse of an individual who was behind the driver’s seat. The body has not yet been identified.

The police said that CID officers were summoned to conduct further investigations into the matter. The Kanthale Magistrate is also due to conduct an inspection of the location.
