Colombo (News 1st): The Medical Research Institute said that saliva and blood samples of 20 people suspected of contracting the Coronavirus have been tested.
It's Director Dr Jayaruwan Bandara said that accordingly a Chinese woman who had been infected with the Coronavirus had been identified. The rest were confirmed to be non-infected.
Director of the National Institute of Infectious Diseases Dr Hasitha Attanayake said the condition of the Chinese woman infected with the Coronavirus was not severe.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe said that 23 patients suspected of contracting the Coronavirus are currently receiving treatment at several hospitals.
