Sri Lanka and Pakistan will engage in more business : Minister Wimal Weerawansa

Colombo (News 1st): A lifestyle exhibition was held at the BMICH today (Jan 31) which showcased Pakistan's culture and traditions. The event was organized by the Pakistani High Commission and saw the participation of several dignitaries including Pakistani High Commissioner Retired Maj. Gen. Muhammad Saad Khattak and Minister of Small and Medium Business and Enterprise Development, Wimal Weerawansa. Speaking at the event Pakistani High Commissioner Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Saad Khattak said Pakistan and Sri Lanka have a very deep-rooted friendship that covers our different related relations also covers our trade relations in people to people context when it comes to bilateral trade relations they have a great capacity still to cover. Minister Wimal Weerawansa also spoke at the event;
"We are very much interested to support small and medium-sized industries and we trust the geographical war is not an issue to do business today because technology and transport are massively developing in today's world. We live in the South Asian region mainly in the SAARC region where the economy is rapidly booming. Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan will engage in more business under this developing business conditions."
