Protest continues opposite the Presidential Secretariat

Colombo (News 1st) - The protest launched opposite the Presidential Secretariat citing a number of demands, continue to take place today. According to our reporters in the area, the protestors have blocked the flow of vehicular traffic along the Galle face road heading out of Colombo. The protest has been launched by employees who were attached to the Department of Archaeology, Department of Rural Development and Ceylon Petroleum Corporation. The protestors claim that they lost their jobs in the state sector after the new government came into power and are calling on the Government to ensure that they receive a just solution.
