3 arrested for butchering 24 sea turtles

Colombo (News 1st): Three persons who butchered 24 sea turtles have been arrested in a raid conducted in Wennappuwa by the Police special task force. 75.5 kg of Sea Turtle meat was found in the possession of the suspects, who are residents of the Ulhitiyawa and Katuneriya areas. The suspects will be presented to the Marawila Magistrates court today (Jan 25).
