Ranjan's recordings were edited - MP Hirunika Premachandra

Colombo (News 1st): UNP MP Hirunika Premachandra also spoke about the leaked phone conversations in Parliament today (Jan 21).

"I can tell them now, even if 100 recordings are released, I will only keep quiet when I'm dead. I still possess the strength I had when I had no power in office. I still have the strength I had, when I spoke against drug lords, when I spoke against those who do wrongdoings in the government when I spoke against Duminda Silva, who they are now trying to release and his brother Raynor Silva. I have lodged complaints at the CID against Hiru TV, Derana TV, Rupavahini and ITN. I will soon file a case demanding a compensation of Rs. 1 billion from these channels. I will prove that all of these tapes were edited. Let me tell you where this takes place. Police handed this over to Raynor. These recordings were edited in their studios and released on social media. They released this to make people think, that Duminda is a baby. They tried to make people believe that my father shot himself when Duminda went passing him. They spread stories like that. These are the main characters of these stories. These are issues faced by a woman when representing parliament. But I will not let these affect me. I have a strong husband, who supports in facing these challenges. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Thilanga Sumathipala and the rest scolded Duminda in the initial stage after my father was killed. But now Thilanga Sumathipala says that Duminda did not deal drugs. Dayasiri Jayasekara now says that Duminda is innocent and that he should be released. Why is this happening? Its because the entire country is controlled by Raynor. All this evidence is in Raynor's hands. In a day or two, Raynor only has to do one small thing. If one of them here, refuses to speak on behalf Raynor's brother, he only has to release one small video clip. Then these people will go back to him like tamed dogs.
