Deal between leadership of MR and RW's parties: Samantha Vidyaratne

Colombo (News 1st): Former Provincial Councillor Samantha Vidyaratne expressed the following views in Badulla today (Jan 21). He noted that there is a deal between the United National Party leadership and the leadership of Mahinda Rajapaksa's party. He added that when Mahinda Rajapaksa and the rest came into power, they called Ranil Wickremesinghe and Arjun Aloysious as main respondents of the Central Bank bond scam. He went onto note:

"Have they arrested them? No. Instead, they arrested Champika and Rajitha. Rajitha was hiding at Rajapaksa's residence. These are not just what we say. Chandrika Bandaranaike also said this. They arrested Ranjan. Don't you think it is better to arrest the masterminds behind the April 21st attacks instead? Or to arrest the bond scam rogues? Didn't Ranil Wickremesinghe attend Mahinda Rajapaksa's sons' weddings? Usually, you invite relatives and friends to attend weddings. We challenge the Rajapaksas. Punish those who were involved in the Central Bank scam immediately. Do it if you can. They will stage something during the election time period. But that's all. Nothing else will happen."
