Angelo Mathews scores his maiden double century

Colombo (News 1st): The 4th day of the 1st test match between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe was held today (Jan 22). Sri Lanka batting in their first innings declared on 515 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Angelo Mathews scored his maiden double century earlier in the day with an unbeaten knock of 200 runs. Zimbabwe scored 358 runs in their first innings of the match which is being played in Harare. When play resumed for the 4th day today, Sri Lanka was on 295 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya de Silva were at the crease on 92 runs and 42 runs respectively. Angelo Mathews scored his first test century since December 2018 and his 10th overall. Dhananjaya de Silva who scored his 6th test half-century was dismissed for 63 runs. Niroshan Dickwella also pitched in with a knock of 63 runs while scoring his 15th half-century.
