New circular for admission of Grade 1 students from 2021

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Education, Dullas Alahapperuma has instructed the Secretary to Education, to issue a fresh circular for the admission of students for Grade 1 for next year. The Ministry in a statement stated as the existing circular covers the entire country and it does not consider regional issues such as land issues, permits, and delay in providing deeds a new circular is to be issued for the year 2021. The statement went on to note that the Minister had observed the circular which had been used by the Education Ministry in recent years and concluded it was impractical in some aspects.
