Two Sri Lankans arrested for smuggling cigarettes

Colombo (News 1st): Two Sri Lankan nationals have been arrested while attempting to smuggle illegal cigarettes into the country from Dubai. Customs spokesperson Sunil Jayaratne noted that the value of the seized cigarettes is over Rs. 3,876,000. 64,600 cigarettes were discovered concealed in their bags. The suspects are residents of Kandy and Negombo.
