Teaching appointments for graduating Theros-Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa

COLOMBO(News 1st) - Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa states that steps will be taken to recruit all graduating Theros as school teachers. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa noted that the Theros who graduated have been assigned as Development Officers in the divisional secretariats. According to the Prime Minister, it is better for Theros to be appointed as school teachers and teach their area of expertise. Gonaduwe Gunananda Thero, the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the Western Province was presented the Vijinipatha yesterday under the patronage of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. The Chief Incumbent of the Malwatte Chapter of the Siyam Maha Nikaya Most Venerable Niyangoda Vijithasiri Thera was also present at the occasion.
