Permanent deans for educational institutes - Education Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Ministry of Education has decided to appoint permanent deans for educational institutes. Secretary of the Ministry, M. H. M. Chithrananda says that for over many years the positions have been filled with acting personnel only. He further said that due to this, the efficient operations of these faculties have been disrupted. Thereby, individuals who have the required qualifications in the teaching service have been called for interviews tomorrow (January 13). The secretary further said that all the suitable candidates will be appointed to a number of positions including the dean, vice-chancellor, and faculty heads.
