IUSF march demanding Mahapola Scholarship be increased

Colombo (News 1st): The Inter-University Student's Federation marched in Colombo today demanding the Mahapola Scholarship Fund be increased among several other demands. The IUSF marched from Town Hall and proceeded to the Presidential Secretariat via Union Place and the Lotus Roundabout. Thereafter, several representatives were given the opportunity to enter the Presidential Secretariat for talks. The protest march resulted in severe traffic congestion along Galle Road.
