Cabinet grants concessions to govt. and semi govt. sector employees

Colombo (News 1st): Cabinet has decided to grant concessions to the government and semi-government sector employees, who faced political revenge. It was revealed at the media briefing today that Cabinet approval has been granted to appoint a committee headed by retired Supreme Court Judge Jagath Balapatabendi to look into the matter. The Cabinet also approved the withdrawal of the proposed Prevention of Terrorism Bill. Moreover, the Cabinet also has discussed to provide the role of investigating the damages caused by sand mining to the Sri Lanka Army.
