Colombo (News 1st):  The National Elections Commission will convene under the auspices of Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya this morning (January 2), to discuss the process of holding elections that are due to take place later this year.

Commissioner-General of the NEC, Saman Sri Ratnayake, stated that special focus has been given to the General elections.
