STF raids warehouse; explosives stored in unsafe manner

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A warehouse that had explosives stored in an unsafe manner in Diyakobala was raided by the Buttala Special Task Force Officers. The warehouse located in the Rideemaliyadda 4th mile Post area, in Diyakobala that was using a lorry used to transport rocks as a disguise was raided by the Buttala Special Task Force. Three suspects were arrested during the raid. 20 electric detonators, 1585 non-electric detonators, 135 kilos of ammonium nitrate, 570 meters of service thread and an excavator were taken custody. The suspects were handed over to the Rideemaliyadda police for further investigations.
