Colombo (News 1st): State Minister of Investment Promotion Keheliya Rambukwella expressed his views on the country’s investments at a media briefing in Kandy today (January 1). He noted that they are hoping to get investments worth at least US$ 5 million.

Keheliya Rambukwella: You must have seen the agreed investments that are already there. Following that, we will increase the investment amount to US$ 500 million and we have started a program to increase it to US$ 900 million.

Journalist: The opposition claims that the government has sold 3 acres.

Keheliya Rambukwella: We have given it on lease conditions. Besides, a perch of. that land was agreed for Rs 12.5 million those days. But we have estimated one perch for Rs 16 million as a lease.
