2 kilos of cannabis seized in Agbopura

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A man has been arrested in Agbopura, along the Habarana-Trincomalee main road, for the possession of 2kg Kerala Ganja while he was transporting it in a vehicle. Police suspect that the arrested individual had been transporting Ganja to Trincomalee for a prolonged period of time. The Police had followed the suspect from Polonnaruwa. According to the police, the vehicle was searched when it had an accident in the Agbopura area. Following the accident, two people travelling in the vehicle had fled while another had attempted to hide the stock of Ganja leading to his arrest.
