Colombo (News 1st): Namal Kumara, who presented himself as the Operations Director of an Anti-Corruption outfit has been further remanded until January 9th by the Hettipola Magistrates Court. The order was given after he appeared at the Hettipola Magistrate’s Court.

Namal Kumara was in court as he was arrested on May 14th for his involvement in the unrest which took place in the Hettipola town following the April 21st attacks.

The suspect was detained and interrogated for a period of 07 months, and he was produced at the Hettipola Magistrate’s Court on December 10th under the provisions of the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
