COLOMBO (News 1st) – Former Minister Rajitha Senaratne submitted an anticipatory bail application before the Colombo additional magistrate for the 3rd time today requesting him not to be arrested for the white van media briefing.

The anticipatory bail application is to be recalled on the 30th and notices were issued to summon the Director of the CID and the OIC of the Investigation Divison.

An anticipatory bail application that was submitted by the former minister Rajitha Senaratne on the 19th was rejected by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne stating that the bail application had failed to mention the reason for his arrest.
