Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka remanded

Colombo (News 1st): Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka was remanded until the 24th of December. The Former minister was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division last night (December 18) at his residence. He was taken to the CCD for questioning and was later remanded till today (Dec 19) after being produced before the Colombo Chief magistrate. The former minister was brought before Court once again this morning and was remanded once again till the 24th of this month. Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva in a tweet has stated that the bail application presented by the attorneys appearing for Patali Champika Ranawaka was rejected.
