Cabinet suspends MCC agreement process

Colombo (News 1st): The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to temporarily suspend the process surrounding the MCC agreement. During the Cabinet decision media briefing, Minister Bandula Gunawardene noted that they will appoint a four-member committee to study the agreement. The committee comprises, of Dr. Lalith Gunaruwan from the University of Colombo, Architect Nalaka Jayaweera, Former Secretary of the Transport Ministry D.S. Jayaweera and President's Counsel Nihal Jayawardena. The Committee is tasked with conducting a study and producing a report to the Cabinet of Ministers.
