Elephant-Saataka deals: UNP and SLPP in agreements together-Wasantha Samarasinghe

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Wasantha Samarasinghe of the JVP spoke about the political agreements between United National Party and SLPP at an event in Anuradhapura yesterday (December 17). Wasantha Samarasinghe stated that although the UNP states that they are against the government, the councillors representing the UNP have reached deals with Pohottuwa. He added that they have placed the Saatakaya on the elephant. He went on to note that they together are now passing the budgets at various councils. "We will vote against at all the local government institutions. We also hope to reveal these elephant-saataka deals" he concluded.
